Advantages/Disadvantages Industries Applications Machining Welding Heat Treatment A572 Structural, Carbon & HSLA Steel Plate - Chapel SteelASTM A572 A high-strength low-alloy steel plate that is utilized in a variety of structural applications. This specification is produced in Grades 42, 50, 55, 60 & 65, the grades representing the yield strength. Plates that are 4 and thicker are made to a 42 KSI yield, although material can be modified to reach the 50 KSI min yield.
BBN Steel is the most professional carobn and low alloy steel exporter in China, for we can provide the most comprehensive steel grade in the different standard, like:ASTM / ASME / EN / DIN / GB/T. Standard of ASTM Carbon Steel clude A283/A283M, A572/A572M, A573/A573M, ASTM A588/A588M etc. ASTM A36 Carbon Steel vs. ASTM A572 Grade 50 ::May 30, 2020 · Both ASTM A36 carbon steel and ASTM A572 grade 50 are iron alloys. Both are furnished in the as-fabricated (no temper or treatment) condition. They have a very high 99% of their average alloy composition in common. For each property being compared, the top bar is ASTM A36 carbon steel and the bottom bar is ASTM A572 grade 50.
Referred standards for making ASTM A36 carbon structural steel. a. A6/M specification for rolled structural steel bars, beams, plates, shapes, and sheet piling (pile sheet). b. ASTM A27/M spec for steel castings, carbon for general application c. ASTM A307, specification for carbon steel bolts and studs, with tensile strength in 60000 psi (415 ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel Equivalent, Gr 65, 60 Properties ASTM A572 grade 50 steel is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel with a yield strength of 50 ksi (345 MPa) and a tensile strength of 65 ksi (450 MPa). It has better mechanical properties than ASTM A36 steel. ASTM A572 contains 5 yield point grades:Grade 42, Grade 50, Grade 55, Grade 60 and Grade 65.
ASTM A572 Grade 50 High-Strength Low-Alloy Structural Steel Plates, ASTM A572 GR 50 Carbon Steel Plate in Shanghai, ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel Plate, ASTM A572 Carbon Steel Plates, Grade 50 ASTM A572 Carbon Steel Plates, ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel Hot Rolled Plate, ASME SA572 Grade 50 Steel Plates Manufacturer in China, ASTM A572-50 Steel Plate ASTM A572 Grade 50 plate thickness tolerance - Bebon SteelASTM A572 Grade 50 plate is HSLA structure steel under ASTM A572/ A572M santdand. It is usually calculated by theory weight. Due to thickness tolerance, the theory weight and actual weight of ASTM A572 Grade 50 plate will have certain differences. The ASTM A572 Grade 50 plate thickness tolerance shall conform to ASTM A6/A6M standard as below:
ASTM A572 Specification refers to High-Strength Low-Alloy Steel Plate for structural building, among the 5 steel grades of 42, 50, 55, 60 and 65, Grade 50 is one most common steel in applications where need more strength and less weight, use steel plate of this grade other than ordinary carbon steel will make the steel structure with same steel strength but lighter weight. Alro SteelASTM A-572 Grade 50 This high strength, low alloy steel plate offers an optimum combination of strength, weldability and notch toughness with economy.
Jan 31, 2005 · Tim, I've got the ASTM Book before me and A-572 is defined as "High strength, low alloy, columbium-vanadium steels of structural quality". On the other hand, SAE 1018 is a low carbon steel with a carbon content of 0.18 %, with no alloying element whatsoever. So, in this case, I'd say that you shouldn't use it in lieu of A-572. High Strength Low Alloy Steel (HSLA) Owen IndustriesASTM A-572 (gr50/gr60/gr65) is a high strength, low alloy steel that offers greater strength than plain carbon steel plate, plus ductility, weldability, formability, toughness and fatigue strength. A572 meets a minimum strength requirement (dependent on grade) and provides good workability and weldability at a moderate price.

Tolerance Over Specified Thickness, For Widths Given, in Inches. Tolerance under specified thickness .010". A 3/4 x 52" wide plate, for example, would have a tolerance range of .740/.780". Because of tolerances, i.e. thickness, flatness and camber, as well as the hot roll condition, ASTM A572 Grade 50 generally does not finish to specified thickness.

Standard Specification for Hot-Rolled Carbon, Low-Alloy 1.1 This specification covers carbon, low-alloy, high-strength low-alloy, and alloy steel hot-rolled floor plates for flooring, stairways, transportation equipment, and general structural purposes. While it is generally provided in the as-rolled condition, floor plate also may be provided in the heat-treated condition, depending on the material specification.
A572 Grade 50 steel specification is for a high-strength, low alloy (HSLA), hot rolled structural steel plate.A low carbon, low alloy steel, these plates have a flat, clean surface. Excellent formability and weldability are characteristic of this grade.
